Looking for some advice. Have recently had my 6.3 smallblock rebuilt after spinning a bearing - new block used. Engine looked fine after initial start up, running smooth, good oil pressure. Ran for about 30 mins & then a few days later started up & oil pressure is not getting above 2 bar. I have checked oil pump, pressure release valve, pick up pipe & big ends all fine. No sign of copper in oil. Is there anything in the sandwich plate (oil cooler fitted) that may have an impact. Any ideas gratefully recd _ Oh & by the way it has plenty of oil in>

I had a problem like this once, and it turned out the pressure gauge was faulty - it may be worth checking that to at least eliminate it from your enquiries.. ?

Gauge would appear to be fine, as the acusump gauge is only registering pressure of 25psi & when previously running the AS registered 60psi.

If you believe the mains and big ends are still in good order I would start by replacing the oil pump. They are not too expensive.
One possibility is that you have lost the blanking plug from the end of an oil gallery.

Change the filter first. (If it is a spin on type) they can collapse inside either blocking or restricting flow.
