Damn crotch rockets, how can they make fun of a car that cost 10x more than their piece of crap bikes. Smoke their butts on the roundabouts... Damn jealous bikers...

I would like to see a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 up against an Ultima GTR with a supercharged or twin turbo LS7 putting out at least 800hp. Would like to see the different in results of the acceleration off the line, 30-70mph, to all the way to 150mph.

Gosh, I really hate those bikers. When I'm in my Mustang, they always drive by me thinking they own the road. Would be great to see a car that will give them a taste of their medicine...

Evening Gentlemen.

I've noticed the first poster has managed a quarter mile in 12 sec @ 125mph.

Is that it?

0-100 around three seconds slower than an R1, too wink

Ok, they're not too bad around corners, though....

I've got em both sitting in my garage. On a very humid hot day I ran 145 in the Ultima with low boost and 142 with my 2007 GSXR1000 K7, in 1/4 mile same day.
I went 180 to 200 in 4 tenths of a second in my GTR.

180 to 200mph? In 0.4 seconds? Are you sure, because that sounds like Space Suttle performance.

That sounds really fast, but it wouldn't surprise me. We were at 168 mph at 6,300' elevation and not even touching the boost. The car doesn't hook up at WOT until 5th gear. This is the car to have, if you want to smoke the hoops at 160 in 4th gear! Just mash the loud peddle and be ready for the ride of your life!

TRANSLATION for us on the other side of the pond : if you want to smoke the hoops at 160 in 4th gear! - IF YOU WANT YOUR MOTOR VEHICLE TO EMIT SMOKE FROM THE REAR PNEUMATIC ROAD CONTACT ITEMS,

Just mash the loud peddle and be ready for the ride of your life! - PLEASE DEPRESS THE PEDAL CONNECTED TO THE FUEL DELIVERY DEVICE AND EXPECT TO GO VERY FAST!

He-he... Adding: Subsequently remove and replace your undergarments.

After watching the car launch, riding in it, and seeing it go by at 200 mph multiple times, in my opinion, there is very little chance of getting all of the power to the ground at WOT until reaching about 170 (shifting out of 4th).

There is no doubt in my mind that, with the right gearing, the car would accelerate to well beyond 220 (went over 210 in just a mile at 6,300' elevation). 250 is probably unrealistic, but there's so much power available that 235-240 seems well in reach. It's absolutely insane. Love it!

However, I think the uprights turn into butter at 223.6 mph.

Hey builder, was the GTR stable at 210mph? Are you saying the GTR is unable to reach 250mph with 1000hp, or just not enough road to reach that kind of speed?

By the way, how's your build coming along? When do you expect to have the car register and on the road?

I was just kidding around about the uprights, D3. The location for the 211 mph run was on an old, two-lane black-top, crowned road. You wouldn't catch me driving anywhere near that speed on that road. Jeff kept it down the middle. He said the road looked 1-inch wide at that speed.

Given the distance and a better road surface, it would probably reach 250. Who knows? It would have to be a very good road.

The build is going well. I just purchased stock in Earl's Plumbing so I won't feel so bad about the $$$ I am spending on AN fittings. wink I expected to be driving by now!!! So, I am working as much as I can to get her on the road before 1/08.

I can imagine the speedo would flick up that fast if you lit the tyres up, but for the car to gain 20mph in 0.4 seconds? I've no doubt the cars are fast but that sounds too fast. I bet the 40-60 time is longer than 0.4 seconds and that would be in first, wouldn't it?

Think it must be a typo or summin'. Once you are at 180, no matter what power you have, you don't blink your eyes and see 200!! Would be nice but that don't happen.....but there again with only 497bhp, what would I know!!

Prove us wrong someone....PLEASE???!!!!

Must be 4 secs, surely. This motorbike isn't hanging around and I make it out to be about 3 seconds 180-200 (with a gearchange at 185).

Would love to be proved wrong mind.

Am 99% sure that Jeff means 4 seconds 180 to 200. Still hugely impressive though, and nearly twice as fast as the McLaren F1 (7.7 secs for the same time).

It seems to say 180-200mph in 0.4 secs on the silver state classic stats for the jeffs ultima

I doubt many stock bikes could keep up with the GTR800 in the straights and when the corners come bye bye bikeman smile.

The bikers due seem to get mighty upset when they get beaten biggrin.

I would love to see a good Bike Vs Car race its been a while since they have done that.
