Rubber pick-up at track days

Any thoughts on the effects of this as it's inevitable particularly when using the softer rubber of specialist track tyres. As you're adding different spec rubber to your own rubber, can this have a significant effect on overall levels of grip, although I guess most of the rubber picked up will be from racing slick tyres, so will be grippy stuff anyway !? I didn't notice any real difference when it happened on my Cerbera with Michelin Pilot Psort Cup tyres and the same goes up to now with my Kumho V70A's on the GTR. If anyone does remove the picked-up rubber, what's the best method of removal, because it's certainly well bonded !?

Drove Silverstone last month and was a problem. Standard tyres and by midday had a coating of rubber. Was advised to let the tyres cool and then would scrub themselves, this worked partially. On return home picked most of bits off and then a trip to Le Mans and back did the rest. Shortly will do another day but that will be the end of this set ot tyres. Is there a reconised way of clearing it off as it certainly changes the grip.

The buildup of track rubber hasn’t had an adverse or noticeable increase on tire performance at the track that I can measure over the tires life. Though the car is noticeably loose as the tires heat and loose their buildup. I do watch for uneven wear by measuring depth. I conclude from “Crazy of Cookingham” his tires didn’t quickly shed the buildup materials. The only thing I can think of to ask is can you limit the buildup? Do you take cool down lap or slow allowing your tires cool and collect tire material?
