Look what I found, that will teach me!

Well it took me 4.5 hours to do a 33 mile journey the other day, because I put off doing one messy job. I have had on my list of 'to do' items, cleaning my 'rock' filter pre high pressure fuel injection pump and I paid the price. It took a while doing some fault finding after rough running and then finally stopping, then the RAC did some and then I got put on the back a flat bed tow truck for my remainder of my journey home.
The general consensus was fuel starvation as the engine ran on ether fine. So my first check after thinking about it a bit was the 'rock' filter. And the results, see below...
The 1 pence piece was not in the filter by the way, but the rest of the rusty looking sh!t was, this after only 4000 miles. Funny the label on the filter says "Check regularly", I will from now on!
