Complete Kit Car Mag photoshoot

Went up to Hinckley to do the photos today and met Jason (hi mate) from Yorks who brought his GTR too. I took a makeshift Can-am roof in case it rained (was gonna be a tarpaulin but I couldn't find it so it ended up being an inflatable double mattress - don't ask !). I didn't need it in the end - a result given the weather this morning when I left the house. Richard was tea boy whilst we all got stuck in holding the flash guns etc. The article should be in next month's Complete Kit Car (renamed from Which Kit as of next month apparently ?). Let's hope they're kinder about my bus engine/colour scheme than PPC mag was with Steve's . P.S. Look out for some seriously cheesy smiles of owner with car (if it doesn't get censored by the Bad Taste Police).

Any idea of the date when the mag,s out,do you know if it will be on the front cover..? Any other pics of your car....Interior looks different..have you used all ultima spec..?.switches... etc....etc

Hi. I think Ian (from the magazine) said it'll be out 3rd or 4th week of April. I dunno about whether it'll hit the cover, but he said it would total about 6-8 pages for both cars. These are the only interior shots I have at the moment (the first one should scroll you thru all but I've included all of them anyway):

The standard Ultima interior wasn't to my own personal taste so that's the main area on the build wher I went 'off piste'. It's more a case of the sum of the constituent parts than any major individual changes, e.g. Ford stalks (suggested to me by a previous Ultima owner), chrome bezel gauges, SatNav / decent quality /high power stereo (that works great for long cruising drives, but is definitely NOT needed when blatting round open roads !), additional (Audi) vents, Carbon Fibre effect kick panel covering (thx to Stig for those last 2 ideas), leather covering as much as possible (e.g. rear bulkhead, padded for better aesthetics, sidepod panels, gear lever/handbrake and tunnel. Ali switches for engine start, rad fans, rear fog, brake light test. Warning lights above stalks have chrome bezel too. Alarm fob opens doors via central locking which activate the interior light. All interior lighting is blue.

It's still a WIP as I have one or two ideas for some more bling/leather in there.
