London Marathon for Air Ambulance

Some of you know this already but I'm running the London Marathon in April.

I got scraped up off the road by the air ambulance in 2005 after I came off my bike, so I though I would be nice to run for the Essex air ambulance.

I'm toying with the idea of running in full flight gear, helmet an all, but I need to build my training and neck up some more before I try that one on for size.

Sure just got to pass my medicals, train, build up 2000hours.
Then I can take you up

5-6 years should do it.

A Fiver from me too...as a fellow pilot (fixed wing though, All that 'Forced landing without power' business in a Heli sounded a little scary for me. "Drops like a stone" I've heard )

All that running means you'll sail through the CAA medical though!

My Class 1 medical is booked for a week today. Whooo

I've got my flight suit and I'm trying to find a helmet, I'm expecting to be not to disimlia to running in a crash helmet.
In fact my orignal idea was to run as "the Stig" but I think the Air Ambulance is better in light of my crash.
