Quietest two days on record

I expect we're all here just with nothing to say.
Got my front clip off at the moment as one of the pivot points has ripped out.
It's a steel boss welded to a punched steel back plate which is then bonded into the GF.
The boss has broken out of the backing primarily due to failure of the welds. I think it would have been stronger if the initial positioning of the pivot onto the clip had not been done with silicon sealant rather than resin. This I believe has allowed a small amount of flexing which finally broke the welds then fractured the backing plate.
Now all re-welded and reinforced and bonded back in but waiting for the glass to go off which is taking time in these low temperatures.

I'm here!
Busy weekend ahead rebuilding the engine. Been waiting for new head gaskets to arrive from the States. I've bought 4 diffent sets now, but now have the correct ones. It's taken a lot of research to find the info on which ones to use as these heads are not made any more.
I hope to have the engine running again next weekend.

Been out in the Can-am too, after having the rear tyre refitted this morning - what a palava, I finally found a place with a tyre machine that could handle the width. Still no roof yet but didn't need it today, it was great with the heater on and the wind in my hair and the sun on my face.... ahhhhh. Back to reality with a bump when I filled up with petrol, I've worked out I've used 67 litres doing 150 miles !!!! And I haven't been wellying it all over the place ! I didn't know if I could trust the fuel gauges as they never read full when it is full and go very erratically from 1/2 full to empty, so I re-filled today after having done about 150 miles and the tanks took 67 litres ! The engine is running great apart from that and Ted said I should get about 25 mpg when cruising, so all in all a bit odd.
