Another thing I recognized checking my GTR after this endurance testing was, that the Kevlar Heat-Shields protecting the ignition cables where kind of scorched a bit...it seems as if it has been very very hot there....How do you protect your ign. cabl. running between the ex. tubes of your exhaust manifold ? What are your experiences whe it comes to heat within the engine bay.... ??

On the SBC in an Ultima the pipes come up and back and the leads point down so they don't go anywhere near the pipes.

If you have an LS then you are in a minority which is probably why no response.
