Is there any backup if it throws a belt such as accusump?

Run a Wet Sump if you want to take the risk.....
I'd prefer to run the Belt personally, as do nearly all curcuit race versions of the SBC. Good enough for a C5R good enough for me..
Fancy a bigger lump a Blue..

Can you wire the ECU to shut down on loss of oil pressure?

They run a toothed belt the same as a cam timing belt.

Absolutely nothing! My RED highly tuned 998cc van goes like the proverbial off a shovel and has embarrassed many a "hot hatch" driver. It's just as much fun to drive as the GTR and has much more luggage space!
