Hi,

A few pre order questions....

Central or side gear linkage. Any cons to either, or is it purely a case of preference? Not going 6 speed.

Double skin kit - what's the benefit? Do most have this?

Uprights - I saw some mention a while back about using prosport ones - anyone know if these are available? Don't really want to buy a factory set then another prosport set if necessary.

Thanks in advance

Central is normally for the Getrag cable change box. G50 linkage can be run up the centre but is a right pain as it has the find its way past the sump, oil pipes, filter etc. I believe it is not as smooth a change. Down the side is good. Adds that additional difference to the car.

Double skin along with some insulation helps both sound and heat insulation. Also looks neater in my opinion.

Can't help on the uprights. Mind you I would advise that you paint them and track rod ends etc. as this will help keep them looking nice.

Sorry steve. This time I have to contradict you...The fitting of a G50 gear linkage centered is not really difficult, nor a problem of space in the engine bay....I prefer the centered, not only because as german I´m used to shifting with my rioght hand, but also because of the better space to shift, when centered.

No problem.
Obviously I've not done it so was just relating to what I was told by the factory when I was setting out on my build.
