Air Con Vintageair
Discussion
Has anyone ordered their air con unit from www.vintageair.com in the US?
I was just wondering what you did about hoses or getting hoses made up.
Do you know what lengths you need and what sizes/threds fit on the condenser, rad and pump.
I'm going to be running a LS1 engine so the factory set up will not work for me.

Vintage Air will only sell to you Via a Agent, but yes you can order all the parts from them. But get the one piece fittings, not the separate (hose end with seperate ferrel) versions, and then prefit them to the car, mark them up (as they are a git to twist if you crimp the fittings on wrong way around) and take them to you local Pirtek agent in the UK, they have the Crimping tools to finish off the pipes.. This is the best way...
I got the standard kit from Ultima, but then cut off the ends that go to the Compressor as they didn't quite fit our application as the AC Pump is now alot higher and the original fittings had charging points on them and got in the way of the exhaust... Now have moved the charging points to some where more accessible, and the hoses are under no longer under stress....
