Sun Strip?

Hello all,

Anyone stuck vinyl or painted the inside of the screen rather than stuck the vinyl to the outside? Does it give a better look?

Also anyone increased the depth of the black surround as I'm showing quite a bit of A-pillar for my liking - but don't want to run into issues of either matching the existing painted surround or with SVA for blocking out too much of the screen. What are the regs there?

Sorry chaps - but just wanna get this one outta the way.

My original vinyl was stuck to the outside but started to peel off.

I've replaced it with dark window film on the inside. Looks much neater IMHO, see below.

Yes Tony I agree.

Could you get right up and overlap the black origonal painted border with your window tint with the screen in place or do the A pillars get in the way?

The black border round my screen extends at least a 1/4" beyond the A pillars and the roof, so I had plenty of overlap. Not sure if its the same on a GTR.

Good - I might wait til after SVA then as I would quite like a horizontal sun strip (a la Bentley Speed 8), and it may extend some way down the screen.........
