Getting hot under the bonnet!

Tell me then, what is the secret to getting the heat shield smooth. Two failed attempts with creases or lifting. Anyone been here before?

Start with a strip of adhesive 100mm wide down the middle. use one of those rollers for wallpaper joints. Then fold the material back to one side of the first strip and apply another strip of adhesive and let it tack off before rolling that down.

Takes time which you don't have much of.

And yes you're right, with SVA 17th May - I'm starting to sweat! Three more days to go before getting back to work though! Yes!

I did the heat insulation in two halves. Lay it out first paying attention to the rear edge, then bond half down. Once done, do the other half - simple

Used Steve's technique and it works! Yippee. Creases disappeared.
