Hi

I am considering buying an ultima GTR and have several questions, I don't have the amount of time or money to spare to build one myself, so its got to be a secondhand one.

1.Apart from Pistonheads are there any other site where ultima's are generally for sale?
2.Do you have to be rich to own an ultima?
3.What are the best points and the worst points of Ultima Ownership?
4.What can I expect for 20 to 30k?

1) Autotrader - although I think most of the guys who count would be, and would advertise, on here.
2) No - cos you'd be made poor by building/buying one. Luckily, owning is the cheap bit!
3) Best bit?Probably driving it....dunno.....yet! Worst bit? Not knowing the answer to the best bit!
4) A nice Maserati 3200GT with 370 twined turbo'd bhp.

When you say you don't have time do you mean you can't wait that long or you couldn't do 5 hours an evening and a day on the weekend?

I'm nine weeks in or about 200hrs. Yeah I'm fooked but I think it's good fun.

Maserati 3200GT is not realy my bag, to civilised. I was thinking more of what sort of ultima I could pick up for that amount of cash?

I don't have the time to spare 5 hours a night and a day at the weekend, the project would never be finished. Also these things have a habit of escalating out of control with me.Years ago I built a project car which started a modest rebuild on a Opel Acona 400 and ended up a works replica.

Hello.I have not learnt how to operate my computer to the degree that I am able to set out the format yet,but here is my reply to those four questions; 1/Exchange and Mart(I kid you not,I have seen Ultimas in there before) 2/Yes.......VERY (if you are going to build a proper example) 3/A garage full to bursting with new trick/modified parts just begging to be built into an extreme example of the mark and ditto 4/BMW 54Oi with 404 supercharged bhp(and some change that can be put towards building a Robin Hood or a Dax Merry Man?)
