Tragic Weekend

A mate of mine always moors his sailing boat out the front of my place on the weekends. Another mate was visiting him on Saturday, on the way in he felt like he hit something.
He boarded the sailing boat, mentioned in passing that he thought he'd hit a log, had a drink with the folks on board and left. 1/2 hour later all on board noticed that the guy who owns the boat had not come back from diving. 3 of my mates got their diving gear on and went looking for him. They found him, dead with a propellor wound to his head. An ortopsy will tell whether he was dead before or after the propellor hit, but my guess is that with diving gear he would have gone down if he was dead first... not risen to the surface.
It was a very sad day for everyone.... there is a bunch of about 20 of us with speedboats, jetskis and zapcats and we go hooing around doing all sorts of silly dangerous things, wavejumping, racing etc and nobody seems to get hurt.... and then this.
The wife and son were on board along with a bunch of mates... I cant even begin to think of the dark thoughts that must be going thru the mind of the guy that ran over one of our mates. The reality is that it could have been any number of us either in the water or driving the boat.... I guess when your time is up... its up.
