Another emotional moment

Chucked the rear wheels on tonight...... that is a great feeling seeing those fat mothers on the car for the first time isnt it!!!

She'll be a rolling chassis by Saturday..... so far, this is where I'm at:
All panelling done and insulated
Master Cylinders in
Brake and clutch lines run
Loom in and 50% fixed off - waiting to fit engine and front suspension before I go further.
AC in but not plumbed
Cooling system in
Steering rack in
Rear suspension on
Gear linkages in (but not pinned)


I'm going to trial fit the engine and trans on the weekend, I'd say Sunday, and the questions on fit of a G50/20 with a supercharged LS2 hangin off it will be answered.

Sorry about the crappy photo quality, they were taken with the camcorder and the wide angle lens gets in the way of the flash - hence the shadow in the foreground.

I'll have it out of the garage on the weekend and get some better shots then.

Are those 335s on the back, they look 'quite' narrow or is it just the aspect ration?

Were the interior panels already fitted when it was delivered?

Also, don't know if it is just an optical illusion, but the geometry of the rear wheels looks to be miles off.

Only the body was prefit.
They are 335s
They are just hanging there - no nuts... so they are on an angle

Got the brakes on and the engine in today.

The engine is not on its mounts properly... need to sort that out.

We tried to fit the trans but the clutch is not aligned... need an alignment tool.... and a new camera - these shots from the video camera are crappy

Looking great Crafty! I guess you'll be driving this thing next week?
Is it the camera or do those rear tires look cambered out and kind of funny? Maybe you jacked up the back or something?

The shocks are not in the rear, using the bars from the factory - suspension is also not aligned at all - just put on there so we could get the wheels on and get the engine in to make sure everything fits, and to get the all the wiring sorted.... basically to patch the engine wiring and hifi, camera and laser jammer wiring patched into the chassis harness then either shrink wrap or convoluted tubing over it - I dont like leaving the wiring in exposed areas covered only in electrical tape.

I'm not happy with the cooling route from the end of the "side pipes" to the engine, I am going to get some custom pipes bent up to sort that out.

phew - work will seem like a holiday after this weekend!!
