Ive read somewhere, that it's a legal requirement for the lights to be either self (or manualy) leveling to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers.

in the uk, HID have to be self levelling, dont know about the states though.

Self leveling here in Europe too.

Does that also mean for aftermarket? so when your car past SAV? and you have your papers and you change it afterwards to thoose headlights? I don't think you will have much trouble then?

These are tiny little lights. They may look really funny in the car. The only reason I looked at them was the possibility they would allow more room under the fender for something more useful.....tires.

What about this headlight design...the cars onsale now in the classifields, is it a new design? me thinks better to fit wider tires? or bigger wheels? anyway here a picture...
