that will completely depend on your point of view.
So will love the revs etc of the BMW, some will hate the torque and others will say an american v8 is much better.
It won't be cheap to fit either so its an expensive way to 500bhp.... personnelly having had a 500bhp SBC engined Ultima, I'd go for the BMW unit if I could afford it..... however there are other engines I'd choose before the V10, like the BMW V12 I'm using or the Audi V8.

MB v12 *TT* would be amazing. It might be a tad too much torque tho.
Why not a huge hp American Speed SBC? Cheaper and a drop-in engine.
Already there's a few 700+bhp cars coming on to the scene.

But I want to go the German way.
The MB 65 AMG engine is still available.
A BMW V10 for a bit more money is offered last week.
I still don't have the length's of these engines.
So I have to wait for that,
If anybody drives that kind of car please...

Will the KMS be able to control the variable valve timing and separately controlled (I think) throttle butterflies?
Either engine sounds like a challenging but sublime engine option.

Hey Joop, if you realy want to go the German way(a bit more expensive but "reliable"
I would go for the BMW V10 unit because of the fine and smooth power delivery and the race sound at high revs(its saying more more more) also because ther are no superchargers or turbo's added to that engine so less to worry and less "unreal" direkt power...so more connected I suppose.
The MB 65 AMG is ofcorse also a very nice engine but its 12! cillinders so I guess more weight, it has a kompressor(when I remembered right) and I guess its somewhat longer then the BMW so more difficult to race with? but I don't now its hight or lenght or weight compared to the BMW...
Now if you where talking about that new 6.3 AMG V8 with around 500+ps also then its more hard to choose, the BMW more screemy race and the MB more can-am racy? anyway when you look at the numbers BMW and MB you noticed the ABC BMW is correct, and MB is not
and BMW has one more strong letter the W so thats one plus for the BMW

can be done with the KMS
The throttle's I will do with cable.
The MB SL65 AMG has 2 turbo's, 1000NM 650 PK.
I think I will easiely get it to 750PK.
Weight could be issue, but In either configation
it won't go over the 1000KG.
But the BMW could be 850 kg.
So that's with 500 hp (and a bit more I hope)
