Ultima owners near Chicago

I was wondering if there are any Ultima owners in the Chicago area, especially a Can Am. Can't wait to see one of these babys in person.

Hi Dan:

I know of several Ultimas in the Chicago area all of which are GTR's. I'm not aware of any Can Am's in Illinois as a whole....but there may be some. Finished GTR's include mine and Jeff Schwartz's and there is one for sure being built in the area. You're welcome to come see mine at DuPage Airport in West Chicago anytime......Jeff Schwartz has a shop in Crystal Lake and would be happy to show you his I would bet. I actually contact Jeff Schwartz about the engine I want. He thinks it might be possible. Does he have a lot of experience with LS engines?

I live very near by, I figured that Ultima on the web site was a custore build and would be long gone. I'll definetly be stopping by.

I think I want to do the build my self, with quite a bit of advice from many of you guys here I am sure.

the engine he just built is mine.... it left his place last week. He did a great job, i thoroughly reccomend him - he definitely knows his stuff with LS engines...

what are the specs of the engine he just made for you? are you putting in a ultima? gtr or can am? If you do plan on using it in an ultima, what made you pick fuel injection over a carb and what made you pick schwartz over american speed?

1. Crate LS2 with Magnacharger
2. GTR
3. I have to pass EURO4 emissions
4. AS dont do this type of engine. Jeff has a GTR with an LS6 and knows his stuff - engines and Ultimas.

Hi Dan, you can find the website from Crafty on this list under Crafty...this is a threat about most known website's related to Ultima cars, parts and buildsite's, so a lot to see, learn and to buy, hope you can find what you are looking for, have fun.
