Ceramic Coated Manifolds

My dear Ultima friends, I do hope you can be of assistance. I run a Cerbera in the TVR Speed Challenge and the mainfolds are overheating everything in the engine bay. I am getting them ceramic coated, inside and out to assist in getting the heat as far away from the bay as possible. We on the Cerbera forum seems to be unable to answer my questions of is there a benefit in engine temperature, cracking of the manifolds, ability to get the heat down the pipes etc?
I know some of the Ultima's have had this done, is there a benefit?

In my experience, Ceramic coating had a great effect on the manifold and under bonnet temps! Getting them done inside and out is recommended - black inside, silver out obviously!
Infinitely preferable to exhaust wrap, which is more likely to crack the manifolds than be of benefit.

Great, that was the answer I was hoping for. They have been sent away, larger bore variety also, so with a bit of luck I can send the heat out the back.
I will be doing the TVR Speed Challenge again next year, mostly the Southern events and will probably do a couple of Lydden and Goodwoods and maybe a Brands and the Brighton Speed Trials through the Bognor Regis and Borough 19 events.
Also a couple of trackdays to settle things in after the engine "refresh"
,one of which maybe Spa, be good to see you.

Doh... ok, some kind of nasty chemical thingy to remove all the crud...
then again, it's probably a better bet to have 2 sets of exhaust pipes - a nice shiny one for shows and a much quieter coated set for the track where looks are not that important... this is the route that I'll probably follow for next years track season...
On the bling note, has anyone tried to chrome a set of pipes?
