Vid Clip - Reno Meet - Mountain Road

Hi All,

[url]This clip|http://www.ihp.com/GTR/Reno-Meeting-05-7.mpg[/url] (about 22 MB) was captured by the computer that is going into my GTR. It's of the road to Virginia City, Nevada...not the same road where the "Sport" had the accident at the "Virginia City Hill Climb" a few years ago. But, we were on that road too.

The Ultima is that of Allen Holz from Denver. Our average speed ranged from 80-90 mph and we were glued to the road. I had to lean into the corners to keep the camera pointed straight out the front.

I can't believe it was light enough out to take a picture, and you were not out there putting that building up! Whats going on out there in Reno???

Figured you'd have 3 crews working around the clock and the crate staged on that fork lift waiting to go in!

I have got to figure out how to get that fork lift OUT! Had a slow-down. No equipment to rent. Nothing available for a couple of weeks. Moving ahead now...

Ha-ha! Yes, it's going to be a big toybox! I figure...do it once and make it big enough to last a few months.

Many things to work out yet. The insulation, siding and roof has to go on. Then the electricity, lights, phone, water...

Looks like it will be a SWEET garage once done. Good luck finishing. I remembered once you posted the pic that you had the Ultima parts all crammed into your current garage until the shop was complete. I bet you can't wait!

Thanks! Yup, it's pretty nice here. Most people don't know how sweet the Reno area is. We love it here...clean air, friendly neighbors, not crowded, Lake Tahoe 15 minutes away (skiing), low cost of living...

Have you made arrangements yet to get track-day experience? I imagine the weather may start to become an issue soon.
