Can-Am hood

Anyone fitted one? I gather it's a bit of a job, so any tips would be appreciated :)

Seem to remember his fitted rather well. He claimed it was leak proof in even the worst of conditions.

And have a word with Tuxman... He's got his own design, not the factory one. Saw it in the flesh at maxey and it's impressive. Doesn't need the side windows!

Thanks, but I'm fitting a factory hood and the CD, whilst having lots of pics, doesn't really give me much of an explanation. I'm sure it will make more sense when I have all the bits in front of me, but want to get a better feel for the job before committing to it. Otherwise, I'll leave it to Ted&Co to sort

do it yourself it really isn't that difficult, just like so many other things take your time and do plenty of pre fitting. It's not a quick job though.

Basically don't drill/glue anything untill you know its in the right possition (ie afte 5-10 pre fitts in my case).... but that is nothing that you don't already know so of no real help!

What I will say is make sure the rubber along the top of the glass (along the alloy frome) extends just past the rubber on the winscreen.... this will be critical for a watertight seal.

Oh and if you need any motivation to do it yourself just remember..... if you don't fit it yourself, how you going to know how to erect it?

Yep had a few issues at start of season, until realised roof had shrunk over winter. Once rear studs released went on fine and after first run (air pressure at 120mph) stretched back into place. Fits a treat, although never had to put it up in the middle of a thunderstorm!!.
