Yes, I have a 2011 can am with the hard top
Advantages of the convertable is the multiple experiences in one car, better visibility from a rear view mirror and better side mirrors ( over GTR) Easier to get in and out of, and the disadvantages are less engine bay space and no front roll hoop.
My journey: https://www.facebook.com/notes/1476532979403077/ skip half way down for other pros/cons.

Thanks! I did stop updating it as I was really cheesed off at FB for removing the notes/blogging feature and screwing up the articles and format and pictures. Still annoyed about that.
Yes, the car is a tip of the hat to the racing can ams back in the day and none of them had front roll hoops. I had ideas of creating an unboltable front roll hoop using saddle clamps much like many bolt in cages use, but would need modification of the hard top, and lets face it: I use mine as a road car and how many convertables have front roll hoops? Umm that will be none. Just look at a Lotus 340R or an Ariel Atom....Crossbow, non of them have front roll hoops. Only a problem if you plan to go actual racing.
