PPF/Vehicle Wraps and Insurance
Discussion
I know a fair few of you have one or other of these, and was considering something myself.
This PH thread caught my eye today:

Has anyone had their insurance affected by declaring a wrap?
If you fundamentally change vehicle colour at the same time, have you change V5 to match, even when its temporary?

Yes, you need to advise your insurance company and most importantly the DVLA. It is unlikely to increase your insurance premium but they may charge a small admin fee. Not informing the DVLA to get the V5C amended could land you in a lot of grief. You only have to be in an accident or get pulled in roadside check and this triggers that vehicle is a different colour to that which is shown on the V5C and then you may face a large fine.

Steve, i would certainly be doing those, having done so previously for resprays rather than wraps. But the thread link i posted was more of the concern, where the poster's insurance was voided due the existence of PPF and being considered a wrap, for which that company would not cover the vehicle at all.
If anyone was thinking of it, it must be worth a call to insurance company before having it done, in case you end up in the same boat?
