Can Am engine Options

Hi

I am in the process of building a Can Am, just interested to know in terms of engines I have a Ls3 in my garage which will be refreshed to new before being installed.

Is this acceptable? , or do you need to provide evidence of purchase when going through the IVA process to get it registered?

The Engine was planned for something else but thought i could use it for that Ultima now.
