SVA Form Completion

I've decided to take my car to the SVA rather than the factory doing it on my behalf.

2 reasons really, the SVA centre is only 10 mins down the road and they are very V8 friendly :D

Now my question is, has anybody got a photocopy/scan of a completed Ultima SVA form that I could borrow so I can get all the details correct.

Go for it! I took mine through it's SVA and registration and it was pretty straight forward. Have a search through the forum for the SVA tips thread we had a few months back.

I've had a look through my docs and I've not taken a copy of the SVA application form. It was pretty straight forward but there are a few gotchas around max speeds, axle weights and engine spec as I remmeber.

I'd get in touch with the factory. They will be able to advise you as to what you should be putting on the SVA form as well as be able to supply you with a bundle of other documentation that you will need for the SVA and registration (a Certificate of Newness is essential). I found that I accumulated a lot of paperwork at this stage in the build.. it made life a lot easier keeping it very organised, especially the receipts, particularly when it came to register the car. The DVLA people seemed very happy to have a box file with neat folders of receipts, selection of build pictures and certificates as well as all of their forms...

As Dave says the factory will send you a copy showing you the info you need to put in. Most of it's straightforward, key things being engine age (depends on your block), design weights (axle 1 553kg, axle 2 797kg, gross 1350kg), Max road speed 160mph, max power engine speed 4000rpm.

I asked the factory and they filled all the forms in for me, I just signed them and filled in the blanks etc. Pickewd them up from the works on the way to the SVA station. You will need the forms from the factory for the engine, Cert of newness and the side windows anyway..... Rest was easy.... Drove my car there and back, great fun...

I'll give the factory a call first thing so can get the forms out to VOSA, as they are currently quoting 2-3 weeks for a date.
