Gt battle Rockingham 25 June

been to Rockingham sunday and had a chance to meet the guys who are running the event on the 25th of june,they are doing a great job and are a very friendly bunch ,sounds like they have got some great cars coming ,but no ultimas ,its a brill venue and if we can get 5or 6 cars we can have a stand to display them you can also enter the 0 to 60 run on the day would also be a good day out is anybody interested ? we will be going am looking forward to have a go at the sprint.simon

Hi Simon

It was nice to meet you on Sunday - even though I was starting to do my best impersonation of a beetroot thanks to the glorius sunshine all day !!!

I have said it on the last thread, and I am glad that I have had the chance to meet an owner and waffle away face to face - Im a car nut, and I'd love for you guys to make it to the event. If you fancy having a crack at the 0-60 sprint then thats even better, I can only imagine the noise !!!!!

I've got clearance so put me down. I will have to start practicing my standing starts! What will the arrangements be, ie. tickets required for entry (for the Ultima stand) and then for the 0-60 etc?

Hi,

All information about the event is on our website - although we seem to have so much going on now the website is getting pretty big !!!

For further information about the club stand, and DISCOUNTED tickets for club stand members please can your representative (Simon??) contact my colleague Claire on [e-mail] and explain that I invited you guys along at Rockingham.

As for the 0-60 then that can be pre booked for a specific session, so that all of you are guranteed to run at the same time, or alternatively you can queue up on the day. We are doing 3 runs per session for £15. The sessions are every half hour with upto 50 cars in a session depending on takeup on the day.

ok guys so we have 4 cars confirmed were is the rest of you ,we have a chance to show of our fantastic cars winter will be hear so soon , i have booked warm sunshine. we need at least 8 cars to put on a good display have some good ideas to show of our cars and would it be great or what to see a long line of ultimas waiting for the drag strip will even supply a trophy for fastest time ,G-man will have to start with his handbrake on and eyes closed...

Now you guys stay away.Just been out practising in my Alpine GTA Turbo for the GT Battle 0-60 comp and someone in a silver GTR ( I think ) decided join in and embarrass me by overtaking my run

Im glad to see you guys are up for it.

Just to let you know - Nicholas Kiesa, Minardi F1 driver will be taking part in the Time Attack in his 800bhp Skyline GTR, and to give you guys something diferent to get your teeth into on the 0-60, a 657bhp Fiesta will also be there !!

Should be a right giggle.
