Lhd vs Rhd GTR
Discussion
In my opinion you need the steering wheel on the correct side for the country you are in, particularly because of how low down you are. I think you will find it’s not a difficult to change the steering wheel from one side to another with most having the speedo and rev counter in the middle.
Personally I don't find it an issue, I have a RHD right hand shift GT40 in the US and wouldn't have it any other way, but I admit the roads are wider over here! Both the GT40 and Ultima have a wide sill where you are sat more centrally than an everyday driver, so the offset is not as evident from the drivers seat IMO.
That said the Ultima chassis is designed to be built either way, so switching over at some point could be a winter project. If you can find the right spec. and build at your price point I'd say don't let it hold you back as it's liveable or fixable.

Good to hear, my conclusion is more or less the same, I would prefer a LHD car, but a RHD can be converted as a light winter project. I will continue to look for a GTR, and hopefully I´m a lucky owner off one before the summer.. I am searching on ebay.co.uk, mobile.de and in here off course.. but is there anywhere else I should check out??
To get it road legal in Norway, I need a car with a title from a EU country, so US is not working for me..

Javiers car is up for sale

Pricey but looks well developed for track but I suspect change to road wouldn't be too hard.
ETS it is road legal already.

I have been looking for a GTR to buy for a while, but all the cars that are for sale at a reasonable price is rhd. How many rhd cars are built, compared to lhd?
