PH Shop: New Products Available

Car covers and foot covers now on sale...

As mentioned in our previous story the chaps at the PistonHeads Shop continue to launch new products monthly, and today we can unveil two new products fresh onto the shelves.

Firstly we have the rather lovely new car covers made in association with Classic Additions. Available in both indoor and outdoor flavours, the cover not only keeps your car protected from the elements, it may also be used as a tent with strategically placed garden canes giving the added bonus of recession-proof holidays *.

Tailor-made to suit your vehicle, the covers are made from the highest-quality materials, come complete with a duffle carry bag, lockable straps and discreet PH branding. It's a must-have product if you are serious about keeping your car protected and makes a very welcome addition to the PH range.

* Not strictly true.

We are also proud to announce our partnership with Piloti shoes, and the PH Shop now offers the full range of 'fast shoes' ranging from the more casual Lusso range, to the 'you had better be as quick as your shoes if you wear them to a track day' motorsport range.

Not only do these shoes assist your driving by shaving at least a second off your lap time, they also increase your chances of winning the lottery and promote healthier living.*

* Sorry, we can't help ourselves.

See the full range here, and if you have any questions about sizing then do give us a call on 01908 221666.

Visit the full range of PH merchandise in the shop, and we'll be announcing more new products at the beginning of April, so please keep the new product ideas coming.

always good to see additional products added to the range.
Shame that the outdoor cover doesn't have a see through section for my road tax and parking permit to be seen (at least it doesn't look like it in the pics and description). My over zealous parking wardens would stick fines on my car, clamp it and then tow it if they couldn't see the permit.

The car cover looks fantastic, but I've had 2 covers stolen off cars this year already, and i'm not risking anymore

Was going to add the same. frown

But for those with driveways it looks like a great product.

Can someone confirm this?

I use my cover on the road (Typhoon) and it doesn't have a window to show my permit. I guess I must be lucky.

I believe the covers can be made to spec, but I'll let Dave from the shop answer that one.

I wouldnt worry about it going missing but i would be worried about the Edinburgh secret service traffic agents who seem (well round my neck of woods) never to be around

YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE MAD TO PAY £250 QUID FOR THAT COVER JUST BECAUSE IT HAS A PH LOGO

YOU CAN GET BETTER QUALITY ONES ON EBAY FOR LESS THAN HALF THAT PRICE AND PROPER PORSCHE COVERS FOR £180

Hi Guys,

Just got information back regarding the issue of parking permits etc. and to solve this problem the covers are supplied with clear sticky windows.

As everyone has them placed in different areas of the car, the sticky windows are supplied so that you can cut a hole exactly where you need to see through the cover. The clear windows are then stuck over the area with an impermeable seal without compromising the waterproof ability and protection of the cover and of this I have been assured.

Dave.

Hi Guys,

Just to let you know that the size chart for the Piloti shoes has just been updated, not majorly different but there was a bit of confusion between UK, Euro and US but it is now correct.

Dave.

He's kind of got a point on the price though... I purchased an outside car cover from BMW for my E60 M5 and it was a lot less than £250 and it was obviously a perfect fit. It was also lockable to stop it being nicked...

It is slightly misleading wording in the shop, but the covers are all bespoke made by classic additions to fit your car. Adrian and his team at Classic Additions do a superb job - they've been making car covers for the classic car industry for many years and produce extremely high quality gear for a very wide range of cars and do a lot of work directly for manufacturers. Our colleagues on Classic & Sports Car swear by their kit, which was good enough for us.

Permit kits are avaliable for the outdoor car covers. If you make sure that you ask for a permit kit when ordering the cover this can be sent with the cover.

I haven't, but Piloti are a well known brand and go to a lot of race meetings. I must admit I've always been put off because some of their colourways were a bit too much, and because I'm simply not a fast enough driver to wear fast shoes.

I'm quite tempted by some of the latest stuff though.
