PH Shop update from the bunch at Dread
Discussion
Dear PHers
We have now had the privilege of running the PH Shop for over two weeks. Over that period a few issues have arisen and mostly have been addressed. I would like to take this opportunity to summarise…..
Sticker Postage - The main topic of discontent has been the carriage costs on stickers. I am pleased to say, after taking all of the comments in to account, we have adjusted our system to allow the despatch of stickers through the Royal Mail using the standard 1st class service. Hopefully not too many get lost and we can continue with this service.
VAT - It was requested that products were shown with a VAT inclusive price, this has been instigated.
Collections – Dread are based in Milton Keynes, the full address is on the “Contact Us” page of the shop site. We welcome any PHers to visit. All stock is held here and the coffee machine is always on. Officially, our hours are 9.00am until 5.30pm, but there is usually someone here either side of those times, however, it may be advisable to call first.
PayPal – We have now been approved to accept PayPal payments through WorldPay account and this facility should be activated in the next day or two.
Product Range – All popular items from the range will continue to be sold. Dread, with feedback from you guys, intend to expand the range with more items sympathetic to the brand. We have already created a number of new T Shirt designs that were launched at the PistonHeads show and will be appearing on the site from later on today. With the technology we have in house, digital direct to garment printer, we will be able to do small runs of new products allowing to gauge reaction before going in to full scale production.
Pint Glasses – We are looking in to these, but they are not cheap! For a nice quality, heavyweight glass tankard, it will be in the region of £15.00. Is this the sort figure that we deem as acceptable?
Sizes - Some of the items we have developed are on a slimmer fit garment. Not all new products will be and we will do our best to make it clear in the description when this is the case. If you are not wanting to show off a honed torso (Garlick), you might want to up a size or two when selecting these items.
Kids - It has been mentioned that there might be a demand for some kids items, please let us have your opinions.
Prices – In respect of Dread being another link in the supply chain and therefore prices will inevitably go up, the opposite is true. For most of the products listed, Dread are first line distributors, which not only means that prices should be kept in line with the current level, but we have less restrictions on minimum quantities, which should allow us to stay on top of stock levels and trial new products as already mentioned.
Cycle Tops – We are working on a plan to revive this project, and will update via the forum soon.
Please get in touch if you need any further information. Cheers Dan
