Not so sticky sticker

I bought 2 2inch smiley stickers on the 25th dec ready to stick to my new car but they both had issues with parts not sticking to the bodywork despite aggressive rubbing

Anyone else had issues?

For adhesion a clean, dry surface is required, but also a warm panel if possible.
The vinyl will apply much better in warmer conditions

The shapes that make up a 2" smiley are quite small, so there isn't a lot of adhesive to hold them in place
so preparing the best surface for them is ideal
