Almost 20 years since that awful weekend at Imola.
It seems like yesterday as, like many race fans, I can recall all the events of that horrible few days quite clearly even now.
RIP Roland & Ayrton.
Indeed, let us not forget that another F1 driver died that weekend, too. It seems like yesterday as, like many race fans, I can recall all the events of that horrible few days quite clearly even now.
RIP Roland & Ayrton.
Roland Ratzenberger (4 July 1960-30 April 1994)
Damon said he thought he lost it on the bumps through tamburello. He was the only one in the same car.
this was in an interview in motorsport magazine from a few years ago. Lunch with Simon Taylor i recall.is still on their website.
no one wants to believe it could have been driver error...
hard to accept esp if you are a massive fan like me.

Interesting. I'd never heard Damon's opinion before. Have you seen the YouTube footage of someone plotting the position of the wheel during his last lap? Swayed my opinion I must admit.this was in an interview in motorsport magazine from a few years ago. Lunch with Simon Taylor i recall.is still on their website.
