New Exclusive PH Artwork

PistonHeads and LAT join forces to launch iconic, exclusive motorsport artwork

We often announce new items in the PistonHeads shop but today we are genuinely proud to launch a world exclusive. As a result of many months of meetings and negotiations we are proud to unveil an exclusive agreement with the world’s largest motorsport photography archive LAT, who hold motorsport images going back over 100 years. Browsing the archive is a pleasure and, as you can’t see these images anywhere else, we are immensely pleased to offer a new range of wall art featuring some of the most evocative motoring images ever seen.

The range will refresh and grow over the coming years, but today we can reveal our launch range specially chosen by the experts at LAT (with a little nodding in agreement from PH) which we hope you’ll love as much as we do.

Wall art is available in three formats

Canvases: Our premium option for both artwork reproduction and graphic design. We have chosen the highest quality canvas and combined it with solid reinforced frames resulting in a product of exceptional quality.

  • Each item is individually made to order
  • Photographic images are stretched around the sides of the frame giving them a gallery mounted finish
  • All frames feature stretch-bracing to guarantee tension is retained.
  • Sizes available: 41cm x 31cm, 61cm x 41cm, 81cm x 61cm
  • Prices range from: £89.99 to £199.99

ChromaLuxe: These dye-sublimation prints are a contemporary alternative to framed canvas or card. Images are photo–sharp and printed onto lightweight chrome that mounts flush with the wall.

  • Images are infused onto specially coated metal guaranteeing exceptional quality
  • We use Epson dye-sublimation inks and inkjets for the sharpest finish
  • Each chrome print comes with a pre-applied 1.3cm thick wood shadow mount for easy hanging
  • Sizes available: 27cm x 18cm, 36cm x 24cm, 48cm x 38cm, 76cm x 51cm
  • Prices range from £49.99 to £189.99

Card: Our entry level offering, but with a multitude of possibilities. These three-dimensional prints look like traditional framed canvas when mounted but are light in both weight and cost.

  • Unique high-quality corrugated card structure means the construction is sturdy and durable yet remains light enough for a number of applications.
  • All of our photographic card prints are stretched around the frame to give a gallery mounted finish
  • Moisture resistant and flame retardant so suitable for use in the garage as well as the home
  • Sizes available: 31cm x 20cm, 33cm x 25cm and 51cm x 41cm
  • Prices range from: £29.99 to £79.99

This reminds me why we should bring back refuelling to F1.

Do it now !

As this image shows, fire would make the racing much more interesting.

Some lovely shots in there.

Could I put a request in for some more modern stuff in the next batch please?

Of course, we'll use some contemporary F1, Le Mans and rally images soon.

Bonza.

If an F1 GTR just happens to sneak onto that list, I certainly wouldn't complain...

Great stuff. Please can you take some high res images of some of the different format options in situ/pan around etc to give a feel for how the will look. A couple of snaps of a card, chromaluxe and canvas would be good to accompany the description just to make the decision process a bit easier. Thanks and good work.

Indeed. My tongue was firmly in my cheek when I said that… smile

Bernie was all for adding water to F1 using sprinklers , so he may argue that bringing fire and other combustion could also make the show more exciting.
