Surely this can't be right? Was only after a small sticker, can't imagine the postage actually costing that.

It's shipping & handling. Some poor sod has got to go and find your sticker in a warehouse the size of a big warehouse, and the find the correct size envelope for it, then stick it closed, then open it again to put your receipt in, then close it again, then put your name & address on.

Even at minimum wage that's got to cost £1 or so.

The sticker also probably only 'costs' 10p, but someone's got to pay for the R&D, website, staff overheads, etc.

Unfortunately, that's about the size of it. We just can't do single 2" stickers for any less than that. You might as well just chuck in a mug or a T shirt, as there'd be no increase in your shipping or handling charges.

I agree with this can't believe the postage for a 2” sticker is £2.99 that is an utter joke I am sorry. Look at all the sticker sellers on ebay offering postage for free and 50p etc... You would think a site as big as this would at least be able to match that due to economies of scale…

Don't like it don't buy it.

It's postage and handling not just postage.

Pisses me off when people (especially on eBay) moan about postage costs.

No one is forcing you...

It isn't the cost of the stamp but the handling and packing. Most of those elements are fixed, regardless how cheap or small the thing we're posting is.

Maybe find a new supplier for the stickers then?

They are dozens of people who would jump at the chance and be able to produce them a lot cheaper than £5 delivered!

Even at £3.50 posted they would be an easy £1.50 margin in them I would think with the correct supplier a stamp is about 70p and then £1.30 to make a small 2" sticker...

You are missing the point. The cost is not in the sticker. The cost is in picking it, packing it, posting it, taking the order, giving a percentage to the credit card company which is fixed and not a share of total transaction, etc etc. All of these things conspire to mean that selling a single cheap item is not something we can do without incurring much of the same cost as a £20 T shirt. Moving to an alternative supplier might well let us sell a single sticker for slightly less, but it might also mean not having quite the same range, not being able to have the same quality, not delivering as quickly or any of the other variables which go into this sort of thing.
