Applying stickers

Just got my 2" smileys delivered - how to apply? Peel the papery bit off and apply the card "logo downwards" onto the bodywork? Do you need to rub the back hard to get it to come off? The last one I tried was a write off!

There are 3 elements. Peel the top layer, (the thicker layer), off, and apply onto the screen, bodywork, etc. rub the back vigorously using a credit card, cloth, etc, so all of it is nice and stuck. Then start peeling it off. It is best to slowly pull the paper off against itself, of that makes any sense. If the sticker states peeling off, reapply with pressure at that point, and give it another go.

Not quite sure the one on the Saab is straight, and I think I should have gone for a silver one on the TVR to match the badge maybe, but otherwise hopefully nice and subtle
