I made it quite clear to my wife that I wanted a "V8 I'm doing my bit for global warming" T-shirt for my birthday.

Being a good sport she duly ordered one for me from the Pistonheads shop (shotedeadinthehead).

Unfortunately when it arrived, the quality was truly terrible. The t-shirt itself was of low quality and the printing atrocious. It was returned for a full refund.

I bought PH merchandise from the previous PH shop vendor and the quality was always very good.

Is this a one-off or is all the stuff a bit pants? Should I risk ordering another?

I'd have thought it was more relevant in shop than website feedback?
Hopefully someone from @push or one of the PH management bods will reply to the op.

My fault - posted in wrong section and it got moved to the right one!

I am interested in hearing from other PH'ers regarding the quality of the T-Shirts they have purchased before I risk trying again...

Hi Ross,

Sorry to hear that you've had a less than brilliant experience. Far from ideal, particularly as it was a birthday present.

First things first, even though we've given you a refund (I assume) I'll ask the shop guys to send you a replacement shirt as I know that we can do better than this.

Secondly, when did your wife purchase the shirt? Shotdead recently moved to a new standard shirt which is a heavier weight cotton and which wears much better. I can confirm this because I wore them all the way through the Le Mans weekend. I'd be interested in finding out if yours was the new stock, or the older (and by comparison much lighter weight) shirts.

Hopefully one of the guys from the shop will pop in shortly.

Best,

Stuart

In which case, and this sounds very much like an excuse but isn't meant to be, I suspect that you'll find the new stock a huge improvement. Perhaps you could PM me with your order details and we'll get it sorted out.

Hi Ross,

First, I'm really sorry that your tee wasn't up to your expectations. We have now switched all of our production on to premium 185g jersey knit tees, which are of far better quality than our previous ones. I'm sending you out a tee on the new garment, I am sure that you'll be much happier with this one. Best wishes,

RossP

You did well, I started a thread a while back about my poor quality shrinking tees and the thread got locked. Emailed the SDITH and had no reply to the email I sent to the shop. Two crop top tees sitting in my drawer now.

Glad the quality had improved as it was poop.

Sitting here in one of our Le Mans shirts a I type, it's been washed lots of times and still really nice to wear. Just a it should be...

The shop guys have done a great job in making a great quality shirt for under £20 now. Thanks chaps.

JAM35F, this was my reply to you back in April; I don't know why threads get locked on this forum and I'm really sorry that you never got a response to your email - can you forward it to me and we'll get this resolved for you? Send it to vicky@pushmerchandising.com rather than the service address so that I can follow it up.

Best wishes, vicky

Hello, we're really sorry to hear that your tee has shrunk. We're currently in the process of moving to a much higher quality tee(hopefully will be completed within the next month) so problems like this will be a thing of the past.. However, if you have experienced any problems with your garment, please contact service@pushmerchandising.com and we will be happy to arrange a replacement or refund for you.

Hi Vicky, I didn't receive that email, I expect it's down to a fault my end somewhere or rather my user error! Apologies. I'll email you again, many thanks.

Big thanks to Vicky at Push who sorted out my issue with the tees. New ones seem to be a much higher quality so am very pleased.

The note made me laugh. 5 star treatment from your team was appreciated.

I got two from the OH for my birthday back in April. Not looking for a refund as I have worn them regardless but I never wear them out as the graphics look terrible, they are lazing around tee's.

I am confident to buy more now though so pleased I found this thread. I wasn't going to bother despite really liking some of the new ones.

I can't comment on print quality as both my new and old tees are identical designs.n.

But I am happy to report that the new tees wash perfectly and no longer shrink after one wash. I don't look like Ross from Friends in his 'Relax' tee anymore! (Hi Vicky).

Will be buying more in time no doubt.
