is the most useless and uncooperative website I've had the misfortune to deal with recently!

Once you actually manage to find what you want PH'wise (don't click any of their categories or you'll be lost forever), what you then need to do is go to a separate page to see what the delivery t&c's are. Then where it says t-shirts are printed to order and may take up to 7 days you need to realise that this will also apply to orders for stickers only (i.e. no t-shirts). Once you eventually get near the top of the queue to be despatched after several days someone will bother to see if what you've ordered is in stock or not. Obviously all this only happens if you chase them. Then if you're lucky some of it will be in stock and they can do you a favour by shipping it out in another couple of days time when it will be too late and you've gone away on the trip you wanted your stickers for.

Any chance of a site where we could browse and buy just PH stuff? Where maybe someone gives a crap about the level of customer service too? Just an idea :-)

There's a PH section, which you can get to by clicking on Shop on the homepage of this site. Also why do you need to see the delivery t and c's are every time? When they say t-shirts are made to order, they mean they just need to print the chosen design on the t-shirt. They don't make t-shirts from scratch.

They have a batches of stickers which they have in stock, so there won't be much of a wait for them. I think they've been very helpful when there is a problem, going by the threads in the Shop section of the forum.

Sorry, I was having a bit of a rant and being sarcastic.

They told me it was clearly stated on their website that my stickers order would take up to 7 working days to despatch. They sent me a link to a separate page on delivery t&c's where it said about the t-shirts to prove this.

Now you mention it I can see the PH category down the side. Trouble is I clicked on the PH Shop link and got taken to a website with a PH logo across the top. I then clicked on stickers expecting to be shown PH stickers...

To be honest none of the above would matter that much if they were as helpful as you say. I couldn't have found them less helpful if they'd tried sadly :-(

Hi Simon,

I'm genuinely sorry that you found us 'unhelpful' - I think that goes against the experience of most people who shop with us, and the comments on this messageboard over the past few weeks can back that up.

We print our tees to order, hence the seven working day turnaround. We also deal with orders in a chronological fashion. Because that's the fair way to do it. Sometimes a customer will email us within a cople of days of placing their order and ask for it to be dealt with more quickly. This is what happened with you today - you contacted us this morning about an order placed on Tuesday, we offered to get your order shipped first class on Monday.

I'm not sure if that is worthy of a post like yours?

Thanks for the response Vicky.

I placed an order for stickers on your website on Tuesday. In the absence of any obvious info to the contrary I assumed they would be despatched first class post within a day or two.

As I needed them within a week I kept on top of the order and was surprised to see it at "processing" status this morning. It was then I was told it was clearly stated on your website despatch could take 7 working days and I was sent a link to a page I wouldn't have seen during the ordering process where you state t-shirts can take up to 7 working days. Not very helpful.

I have indeed been offered shipment on Monday which by your own admission leaves things a bit 50:50 for Tuesday. Not very helpful.

When I asked if someone couldn't just put a handful of stickers in an envelope today so they would definitely arrive in time I was told no, and by the way some of my order isn't even in stock. Not very helpful.

If I was running PH I would expect better of a supplier running things in my name. Hence the post.

I raised this many months ago. Let's say you want a PH sticker. Click Shop from PH and you end up over at shotdead. Now click "Stickers". Every sticker under the sun, none of them PH. Absolutely terrible user experience, I simply can't understand why Haymarket don't seem to care.

I think the problem is that at least 100 Mrs Kinkys would be required given the current volumes (and that is not in any way diminishing the fantastic job that she did).

If you click on Shop on the homepage, it takes you to the PH section of ShotDeadInTheHead. You know you're in the PH section as the webpage says PistonHeads twice at the top, along with the PH smiley next to the biggest PH text.

Exactly. On what planet would it make sense, should one wish to procure some stickers, to click "next page" rather than "stickers"?

I have to say the website is pretty easy to use and pretty good to look at. Never had any real issues to it is an it an upgrade to the old system. Just my 2 pence.
