PistonHeads: we're no mugs.....

.....but we do sell them, along with mouse mats too

So many mug jokes, so little time. But mugs are pretty handy when all is said and done and, even in this digital age, until we get an iMug faithful old china still has a purpose where carrying hot (and cold) drinks are concerned.

But is your chipped and mismatched collection in need of a refresh? PistonHeads can help (we're nice like that) with a new range of chinaware to service your every hot beverage need. Priced at under a tenner these mugs not only offer excellent value, they are also equally suited for home and work use. Have a look at the full range here.

While we are on the subject of useful items, how about we go all retro and introduce our range of mouse mats. These days it’s easy to forget the time you used to look after your mouse with its own piece of carpet, but times are changing and it’s high time we celebrated the mouse mat once again. What price mouse comfort? £5.99: show a mouse you care today.

Oh, and before we forget we have a couple of new T-shirts too. The snow has melted so it’s time to get some sun on your arms in one of these top quality shirts. New designs will be launched regularly throughout 2012, and we’ll keep you updated with new stuff as regularly as we can, but please keep an eye on the shop as things may appear unnannounced.

Really? What don't you like about it? I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I'd be interested in what you don't like about it (or any of the others for that matter) so that we can produce something which would grace your desk.

The great thing about the new shop is that they print on demand. Which means that we can do as many designs as we want. Tell us what you want, and we'll make it. Really.

What about the STICKERS...Do the gold folks at PH have a thing against stickers? Or all they all holding up the parts on the Passat?

I was a bit disappointed at the size of my mug, they really are rather small.

We are VERY close on this. Garlick (and he's on holiday today, or it'd be done) simply needs to fix the prototypes to the back of the Lexus, take it through the car wash (to make sure that they don't come off) and then peel them off afterwards (to make sure that they don't pull the clear coat off)and then we're ready to go.

Too cluttered, not big enough, wrong font, crossed pistions background to a load of faux US College crap.

And white.

Big, black (doesn't show the tannin stains), crossed pistons, proper script PistonHeads along the bottom. And a fiver.

OK. We're unable to do them for a fiver, but we can do a simple smiley and logo mug easily. Like this one?

I will see about the possibility of using black mugs. The staining argument is a good one.

FWIW i bought one of the older (black square-ish) style mugs and I really like it.

I'd gladly buy another as mine is a little stained now if you still made them smile

I've got one of the first PH mugs, it's black, with the white crossed pistons logo, and beneath that, the PistonHeads.com Speed Matters logo.

I love it, and in my opinion WAY cooler looking than any of the newer stuff.

Really? Superdry is a chav brand that started out in Cheltenham, their stuff looks terrible! Luckily i see no resemblance here.

The PH logo is a strong logo, so I agree that less is more.

You would be surprised how many people immediately understand what it stands for. Even mister half a brain that drives a Prius.

That is why we need Stickers.

Have I already mentionned we need Stickers?

Don't think anyone has raised this point yet, but I think we need stickers.

Yes, we definitely need stickers.

I had one too until a work colleague dropped a ZF 5HP500 autobox onto it grumpy

Went to buy another but found they'd been discontinued so I remain without a PH mug.

The mug at the top isnt very good tbh, get rid of the 'and' in the middle of piston heads (I guess it was supposed to be US A+F style), but I think that would appeal to a very small number of people on here imo.
