Sale Item Deliveries
Discussion
We have changed suppliers as you know, but there's nothing to suggest that Dread will be anything but professional over this.
I do know that they were overwhelmed by orders when they introduced the 50% off sale, and that they're working through these as fast as possible. I'll chase them on Monday to see how many are still waiting to go out.

No they're not. They're not obliged to sell you anything at any price, an advertised price is merely an "invitation to treat".Peed Off....Yes

So you are saying i see an item at an advertised price in a shop, pick it up and take it to the till, and they then decide that they want double for it when i go to pay as they were just "tempting me" bks, or in this case i buy the item and then i am sent an invoice showing that sale at that quoted price, yet the goods will not be out of stock as they come from the manufacturer who supplies them and are still in business, if bothered to pursue i bet my bottom dollar it would go my way.
It's the principal of the thing that narks me.

If you pick up an item in a shop marked £50 and get to the till and it shows £100 they are under absolutely no obligation whatsoever to sell it to you for anything other than £100 and you would get nowhere challenging it.
There are three stages to a contract being formed. First is an invitation to treat, the second is your offer and the third is acceptance of that offer.
The advertised price is an offer to treat. There is no contract until they accept that transaction and they can define when that happens. In most cases online, that point is the point of dispatch. Look at your mail when you ordered. It just acknowledges your order which is an offer, it does not accept it. In your case it would be very easy for them to argue that the "everything half price" was a mistake (and not even theirs) as it was PH that advertised that, not Dread IIRC.
You don't have an invoice including the cover, what you have in your email is a copy of your order. Your invoice (if you have one) would be in your parcel which showed a refund for the cover.
Look at all the examples of things like TVs advertised at a silly low price online because of a mistake, almost always, they are never sold at that price because there is no acceptance of the offer.
And, before anyone asks, no I don't work for Dread. I'm waiting for my order too (and for my overcharge to be refunded).

My missus made an order on the 1st for some shirts and a couple of stickers.
The cash was taken immediately from her bank (used a debit card) and 15 days later, no delivery.
Seller is ignoring emails.
The missus is worried that my chrimbo pressies aren't going to be here before Christmas, and annoyed that they took payment 15 days ago. Most (all ?) companies she deals with online don't charge when the order is made, they take payment upon dispatch.
Is there any news from Dread ? Am I going to get my gear before Christmas ?
Cheers all, Tony

I am in the same boat 1 december I made the order, hopeing for before xmas.....call them today, "I think its been dispatched, maybe it hasn't been, I will call you back to update you" well how hard is it to confirm. No wonder pistonheads has changed suppliers, no e-mail to say when dispatch would be or they are delayed. No other company could function like this and to think on there hold music they say they can pull the rabbit out the hat, why the fk don't they pull there finger out!!!!!The cash was taken immediately from her bank (used a debit card) and 15 days later, no delivery.
