I ordered two shirts, total cost including VAT and postage according to PH receipt is £21.67

Then I receive an email from worldpay.com thanking me for my payment of £22.40

Not a big difference but still a difference! Are there hidden charges for using worldpay? Not that I had a choice, I just put in my credit card details and PH use worldpay to process my payment.

What's going on PH? a quid here and there from all these sales will add up and earn someone a nice little bonus while this sale is on. Do worldpay charge us to use them even though we have no choice?

Not one we can answer sadly as the shop is managed by an external company.

I'll ensure they see this though to ensure you get a response as soon as possible. I'll drop them a line now, please bear with us.

Apologies

Hi People,

we had a short period of time where the shipping costs were incorrectly discounted, this was subsequently corrected but there were a few orders being processed during the change over period.

Hope this helps.

Not really, my receipt shows that the discount was £18, on 2x£18 tshirts this is correct so no discount was applied to the postage cost.

So why have worldpay taken more money from me than PH site quoted.

Incidently what is the legal situation on this, PH give me a price for my order, all is ok and I pay. And then without notification worldpay/PH take more money from me. A highstreet shop wouldn't get away with this.

Frankly I think the PH shopkeepers explanation is poor and wrong in my case and I would like further clarification of why more money was taken from my account without my permission.

Hi Guys

Obviously JAM35F isn't happy with our explanation. We are confident of the reasons for this error and apologise once more.

We have no idea what the legal situation is with this, all we can do is apologise again and anyone who would like to receive a refund to reflect the Invoice value, please call the office, 01908 221666, on Monday and speak to Craig and he will arrange your credit.

Ok, have done the maths.

2x £9= £18
Postage according to website: £3.50 + VAT@20% = £4.20
Total: £18+£4.20 = £22.20

Worldpay charge: £22.40
So 20p over charged apparently? Why?

But more importantly, the original bill was wrong which was not my fault, I paid the requested £21.67 so it's PH/worldpay's problem and if they were to want more money from me after the transaction then they/you PH should have had the politeness to let me know before you raid my bank account.

So I'd like an apology for raiding my bank account without my permission, an explanation as to why you can take money from me after a price has been agreed (is this not a contract?) and finally I want my 20p please.

PH; balls up the new classifieds, balls up the shop sale, good month for the tec department.

Not a great explaination really. You should be contacting people and issuing refunds by default, not waiting for them to contact you. You may consider it to be "a pain" but that's what good companies do as looking after their customers is #1 priority.

Garlick and I will look into this on Monday morning. I'm afraid that I missed this thread today, and he has been out of the office all day.

Don't worry, we'll get it resolved. Nobody who has been overcharged will lose out.

So sorry for any inconvenience.

I thought I was seeing things when I received the worldpay confirmation, PH invoice says £98-07 but worldpay says it cost £99-14.

We'll talk to the shop chaps on Monday. Very odd, but Worldpay does work in mysterious ways.
