The hillclimb as it's far better than say gurston or wiscombe. They ran Epynt earlier this month and last year i think. I do know hillclimbing thanks as i follow the british championship where i can. It's superior party because it's longer, if only most hillclimbs were the same length or longer than Harewood.

having seen many a hillclimb in my life, i am convinced that shelsley walsh remains the ultiamte challenge. narrow and unspeakably fast, requiring total commitment from the crossing to the esses. one mistake, well not even a mistake, one slight lift, one brush of the banking and you are out of contention. longer hillclimbs just give the drier more chance to make up time if they do run wide eariler in the course. hillclimbs should be short and sweet, one chance and thats your lot, requiring a lot more mental prearation and commitment than other motorsport disciplines realise.

Still, i love harewood, best hillclimb venue in England IMO.

I recently had a chat with the MSA Circuit Inspector and we are going to have a look at a means of resurecting the event in a slightly different format, it has the potential to be longer!!!!
