Quick straw poll - Shall we have an introduction thread for ourselves our cars and our championships? Could be a good way for people who watch or who want to watch club racing in the UK to "know" someone and is always a bit more interesting then.

If a rubbish idea then fair enough but I thought it was good!! idea

See Fernando Alonso. Saying that, he's gone back up in my estimation this year but this is Club Motorsport not General so I best not go OT, I don't want to be the first one in the new forum to get kicked out I'll leave that to Jelly!!

Well so far it's a positive response which is good so I suppose I better start then;

I'm Gregor Marshall and am in my second season of racing and I drive a Vauxhall Firenza Droop Snoot (see pic below) in the Post Historic (pre-74) and Classic Group 1 (pre-83) championships run by Classic Touring and Racing Car Club.

Who's up next?

Glad you called it Club Motorsport very inclusive, used to live about an hour from CC but it's 100 miles now!.

Great looking car John, I looked at entering Future Classics in the Firenza but it seemed as though it would be a bit out-powered, maybe next year though.

P.S. Have you just become AMOC competition secretary?

Ah ha, I knew the position was advertised a few months ago and wondered if you'd filled it. Good luck with the application and fingers crossed I'll get an AMOC race in enxt year, gotta try and keep up the family tradition with the AMOC!!
