I'm prepping a car (P944) at short notice for Brands Hatch. It was a road car............they do exist (apparently).

Question.

Can I leave the SIDE & REAR windows in, or MUST they be plastic?

all depends on the series your racing in,some allow plastics others say it has to be glass, might be an idea giving us a clue what series your racing in

If you are going to race with CSCC then give Hugo in the office a call.

Personally I would change them as the glass and mechanism often weigh a surprising amount.

The other alternative would be to put the porsche bodyshell on the caterham and keep your fingers crossed through scrutinering...

Good luck

Thanks Kickstart & Refoman2,

I've now got my answer, leave 'em in, then see how I get on with the field. If I'm hopelessly of the pace I'll start shedding weight.

I'm booked on the Deutsche Marque series for Brands on 8th May.

At the current rate the first time the car gets driven will be when qualifying starts.

Tom's never driven a 944 before, luckily I did own one back in the early 1990's so better give us a wide birth.

Never mind the back of the grid is good place to learn from.
