Would be nice to see pictures or stories of people winning trophys in motorsport.
We all see it on the telly but it would be nice to hear how you felt as a average joe winning a trophy after all the hard work.

Following on from your last post, whatever you end up doing you'll probably find that motorsport is 95% frustration and 5% elation. Certainly has been for me perhaps because I'm not that great at it? - just when you think "Why don't I just stop doing this" something clicks and goes right and away you go again. Experts on addiction might like to comment! I've got 4 trophies in my living room, all at the basic club end of the sport and the feeling getting them has to be experienced to be believed.

"Northern Universities Miscellaneous Motorsports Champion 1994-95".

I was the only person eligible for the prize.

Ditto above,

My most memorable race was an infamous 750MC all comers race at Snett, swapped places atleast once every lap with another similar spec car, both go called up by the cleark for removing the bollards at Russells. Really really good fun.

I have had a few class wins and an overall win.
As above, I have had some of the best racing with no chance of getting near the Silverware

Yes when your leading there often the eariest races, the best memories are the mid field battles.
my only overall race wins were in the 750 mc hot hatch, had lots of class wins & have lead lots of races since but had poor luck last year, having problems in almost every race often whilst leading

I think you will find most competiters will have many class trophys even if there not very fast because often its a race of itrition & if say there are only 5 starters in your class & 2 breakdown or go off then you have a 3rd in class without actually passsing anybody !!

Agree with 95% frustration, or disappointment for sure. Field of 30 cars all identical in one of the most competitive clubman grids in the country is hard work.

My website covers it all, the good and bad with video. There is silverware too...and crashes.

Nearly had the hat rick of pole and 2 race wins on sat at oultonpark until I was wiped out last lap at island race2. Should be in motors tv sat night, caterham r300. Still, had worst starts to the season.

Op won't be on blog till I get back from holiday.

Tbh, it's usually more relief that the car has actually survived intact than anything!

Not as much as it made me jump! Then it was about steering it out of the bsrriers. The other guy went into gyres at 70mph straight first.

Had a few now but can definately testify that the "battling through the field" ones are the most memorable.

Formula Ford Festival 2010, spun on oil from 3rd place at Surtees and went back to 18th - finished 5th in the end!

That was by far the best race I've had.

Just a rally co-driver and I have numerous class wins and places over the years but some of the most satisfying events have been those when you know you have pushed the limits but haven't troubled the engravers.

I love the sport and the trophies are great dust gathers but there are cheaper ways to get glassware and crap plastic, the competition is more important than the trophy although if you get a trophy....

Last outing was 1st in class and 13 overall and 1st 2wd but the overall and 2wd placing were far more important than the placing in a poorly supported class.

Managed the quad a few years ago at Anglesey - pole, 2 x race wins & fastest lap - definitely my career highlight - its all been downhill since then!

Few of my trophies, although I haven't won any for a little while, as I simply haven't had time after going to uni. Hopefully that will change this Tuesday though, as I've entered the BUKC drivers championship.

And yes some of my most memorable races have resulted in no silverware but winning the championship is certainly up there! Working out the points in my head during the race!
