Afternoon all,

I've got a strange idea into my head that the wheels below would look awesome on my Mk2 Escort trackday/race project, whilst also potentially saving a bit of weight too.

How would I go about mounting centrelock wheels onto a car designed for 4 stud fittings? Are there off the shelf adaptors available that can be bought to mount onto a standard hub, then allow this type of rim to be fitted?

Other than the undeniably cool look, what tangible benifits are there for using centrelock wheels?

Convert your car to some old F3 Hubs.
Alot of work involved unless you've developed your own suspension.
Fortunately we already had, which in the end made the swap really straight forward.

EDIT: (Just re-read your post, might be easier to go shopping for some 4-studs that look similar)

For your application, there aren't any.

You get the added excitment of wheels coming loose.............Ended 3 of my races last yr this way, one in a big way @ silverstone, centre lock wheels are nightmare & you need a mega bucks windy-gun to dog them up to over 650NM
forget the idea & if you want any fancy wheels, try www.imagewheels.co.uk & they will make you anything you want & not to dear
