Wanted: Race Mechanic

Due to expansion of the team, for the third year in a row I am in the hunt for an additional mechanic. In the past couple of years we have found some good guys through Pistonheads so I'm back again:

Wanted race mechanic(s) to work with Caterham R300 team SPY Motorsport at 1st/2nd April Oulton Park race weekend (note 1st is testing on the Friday). Jobs would include refuelling, spanner checks, setup adjustments, pitboard etc etc. Similar experience is desirable but not absolutely necessary, sound mechanical knowledge however is a must. Could well suit a junior race engineer/mechanic/student looking for CV experience.

If all goes well there is a chance to work with the team at more race meetings this year, including two British GT meetings and at Zandvoort.

To add - after I was asked the question last year on pay:

First weekend for somebody with limited experience would be expenses with discretionary pay, but we would not expect a more experienced engineer/mechanic to work for free.

I.e. this is a paid position.

I thought I would bump this topic to say we had quite a few replies to this topic from here and ten-tenths; I have tried to reply to everybody in person, successful or not, but there may be a couple who I have missed, so my apologies.

And secondly there are likely to be more openings through the rest of the season, the first in two weekend's time (13th-15th May) at the F3/GT meeting at Snetterton. We are always keen to hear from mechanics experienced or not, so please do continue to contact me.
