I usually use the Travel Lodge when going to Goodwood.

If you have a look on their websites they may list local B & B's which are often fine about trailers, motorhomes etc

The other way is to have a look on the Alistair Sawday website for accommodation

On the lydden topic you are normally fine to drop your trailer the night before which makes things a bit easier on the day, cannot help with Goodwood as the last time we went testing there it was circa 1985

Is this for the 2-day events? You should be able to get to Lydden without an overnight stop for a 1-dayer.

said he who overstayed the night before hethel........

Yes, Carl, I can get there but its a damn early start and loading the trailer in the early hours does not make me a good neighbour.

That's because the last time I went up that way the A11 was single carriageway. Won't be doing the same again this year smile

there is a little B&B/hotel < 15 mins from Lydden with rear car park that you can reverse the trailer into.

The Bow Window Littlehampton - does really good food as well.

Also worth mentioning is;

It always makes me laugh when I drive past it! Food is supposed to be good.
