I'd really like to go to a meet, and wonder which is the best to go to from the non-participant's POV?

Thanks

Ive been to 3, I live near prescott and the viewing is very good, the paddock is well layed out and it always seems to run well.

i was a season ticket holder at shelsley walsh a few years back but found it a bit dull as there isnt much to the course

Loton park is a brilliant venue, lots of places to view and must be a hoot to drive

Harewood is the longest permanent venue, Shelsley is the oldest currently used venue, really depends where in the country you live, and how far you are prepared to travel.

I'll second Prescott as an excellent spectator venue - go every year for the round of the British championship in September. Gursden is also another one worth visiting.

prescott is great for spectating. you can wander round the paddock easily enough and because there is a return road there is constant action on the track. the view on the exit from pardon hairpin is great for the single seaters as they get the power down and accelerate away.

shelsley is just in a brilliant setting and well worth a trip. the view from the speed trap is good but nothing is in view for that long.

I've been to all of the venues in England, as I follow the championship.

Prescott is probably the venue where you'll get the best views, it's also the nicest venue by a mile IMO

Shelsley is better in terms of sense of speed, there's nothing like watching a big Gould come around crossing at speed.

Loton is a lovely venue but views are slightly restricted, although you can see quite a bit if you stand near the top.

Wiscombe isn't that good for spectators IMO, the trees help to that.

Harewood is brilliant, if you stand on the banking you can see the entire course (well you can form pretty much anywhere)

Thanks for these tips. I'm in Cambridge, so it should be easy to get to most of them!
