Hi,
does anyone know where I can get or if there is a website showing all the meetings in the UK for 2011? There used to be a website Trackdates? that showed them but this is no longer around and I got one from a mag but can't remember which...

any guidance is appreciated...

This where UK motorsport lets itself down badly.

A sport like horseracing uses the "At The Races" branding to group details of meetings in one place.

The MSA needs to sort something out for motorsport.

Using sites like Racedates and then cross referencing to the MotorSportVision, BRSSC, BARC etc. sites will get you the information but it's hard work even for sad fools like me who knows what all the events actually are, how a normal punter who fancies a day out is meant to find out what he could see if he has a spare weekend - I bet a lot of people who watch touring cars on the tv don't even realise there is a whole world of events they could go an see the following weekend.

Couldn't agree more. even if we could get the raw data into a s/sheet it would be easier..

Why they don't have a decent website is beyond me. It would be so easy these days..

it would be great if the MSV sites gave you a rundown on what's racing instead you just get "Barc Raceday" or something like that, then you have to search through BARCs site

Mallory's the same - classic cars, saloons with no hyper links... not the best website either imho..

I mean the timing website has times for every meeting etc..

Folks,

This site will have every date you'll ever want, and if it doesn't drop them a line.

I wish Mallory would put entry lists on its website so I could read what cars will be in attendance before I go!

Most hillclimb venues seem to do this! Prescott/Loton/Harewood etc all do it, as do the 750MC.

Not many others do though!

You actually have to go to buy a programme though so that's ridiculous. Which club was that?

I agree with you too a point, but the difference is ATR and Racing Post are both media outlets (ATR TV Broadcaster & RP Daily Newpaper), UK Motorsport doesn't have a specific TV broadcaster, it's in ATR's own interest to publish as much info on the fixtures to gain more membership subs etc.

I suppose Motorsport news is the closest thing to the Racing Post???

Agreed though it would be good to have something with everything in one place. Is a nightmare trying to work out where you want to go, having to look at MSVR, SIlverstone, Donington Park, Mallory Park etc etc...

I'm afraid the Circuits have very little input (or knowledge) over who's competing - It's all down to the organising Clubs. All the Circuits are interested in is collecting the Circuit hire fees. They can also tie up the Clubs with restrictions on how they publicise and promote their meetings.
