Brands Hatch Stages - Sunday 30th Jan
Discussion
Hello All,
I just wanted to draw your attention to the Brsnds Hatch Stages rally which takes place this Sunday - its free entry for specators. AFAIK it's the first stage rally at Brands for 20+ years.
More details here:

There's a cracking entry with some interesting cars, and us in our very standard Pug 205 GTi (seen below on a previous event).
If you are there, come and say hello!

PS there's a great shot of you on British Rally Forum - by M & H Photography
A good day out and nice to see it well supported by competitors and spectators alike; hopefully this will become an annual event. My hands have only just defrosted though....
I couldn't help thinking some of the layouts were tempting fate with the risk of an out of control car ending up in the path of another vehicle, what did the competitors think?
Couple of rubbishy iPhone vids of the best sounding cars of the day:

Del, if you have any of car 34 red BMW M3 Compact please post
Chris, I think the only issue with the layouts was placing the finish line in the afternoon at the top of a short hill in the Rallyschool which was unbelievably slippery and on a sharp, narrow bend (I have the damage to prove it!)
Overall an excellent rally in my opinion and I hope it becomes an annual fixture

Thanks Del Did you see how the number 8 Mk2 ended up there? Did he spin off after finishing the stage (as I did on stage 7...)?
Hi notax,If I remember correctly he had engine failure just before the downhill right turn. Stalled it, tried bump starting but to no avail.
Cheers
